The album Arrival with Svante Söderqvist Trio was released in spring 2020 and chosen among the best jazz records of the year in two of Sweden´s most well-regarded music magazines.
The music has a strong foundation in jazz with inspirations from both Swedish folk music and classical music. Through sophisticated arco playing on both bass and cello, with synchronic vocals, the group manage to make the well-known jazz trio format sounding surprisingly developed and fresh.

Fellow musicians, pianist Adam Forkelid and drummer Calle Rasmusson are among the best in their fields, and contribute in an important way with great creativity and knowledge.
The second studio album The Rocket was released in December 2023 (Caprice) and has been very well reviewed by critics and audience ever since. It’s dedicated to the struggle for peace in Europe and Estonian Tuulikki Bartosik (acc/electronics) & Klas Lindquist (cl) appear as featured guest artists.
