Karl Wallmyr is a trumpet player and composer with roots in Värmland. Together with his ensemble, he creates music with influences from classical music and Swedish folk music. The compositions bears distinctive traits from Nordic tradition. In the autumn of 2021 he released his second album, Serendippo (HOOB Records), which was warmly received by both Swedish and foreign press. The album is a musical step aside from an increasingly intense outside world. In contrast to a contemporaneity filled to the brim with impressions, this music has an everyday feel; while there is more going on if you listen carefully. A form of musical realism.
