Isabella Lundgren is considered one of Sweden’s foremost jazz singers. With a fantastic voice and unique intensity, she has the ability to captivate her audience. She has been nominated for a Grammy and has been awarded numerous prizes and scholarships.
Johan Lindström is undoubtedly one of Sweden’s most sought-after musicians and composers. In the jazz world, he is perhaps best known as a guitarist & pedal steel guitarist and a member of the four-time Grammy award-winning Tonbruket and with his own band Johan Lindström Septett. He is also known as a producer who often manages to pick up unsuspected musical nuggets from artists, which they had no idea existed. Rebecka Törnqvist, Elvis Costello, Ane Brun, Freddie Wadling, Totta Näslund, Titiyo and Anna Ternheim are just a few of the artists Johan Lindström has collaborated with, and now Isabella Lundgren has also been added to this solid list.
For the past three years, Isabella Lundgren has worked together with Johan Lindström on the album What cannot be told which will be released in the spring of 2025. Her words and tones have taken on new color and form in the encounter with Johan’s unique creative gift. It is music that moves between genres and worlds – which, in both words and tone, searches for precisely the ineffable longing that exists within us. At the jazz festival, they perform the music together for the first time and at the same time release a single together.
