Sigurður Flosason / Hans Olding Quartet
Swinging, contemporary with high energy.
Siggi and Hans have a long musical past together and have played and toured around the Nordic region for almost 15 years. They have recorded an album ”Projeto Brasil!” (El DIngo Records) with their own interpretations of Jobim/Nascimento etc. In honor of the evening, there is an offer of own songs mixed with well-selected standards.
Sigurdur Flosason is undoubtedly one of Iceland’s most popular and active musicians with around thirty (!) albums to his name. He has toured the world and collaborated with several of Scandinavia’s most prominent jazz musicians. Siggi is also active as a composer, arranger and also lyricist and leads and conducts the Reykjavik Big Band.
Hans Olding is one of Sweden’s most active jazz guitarists and for the past 20+ years has toured the world and played with a wide range of Swedish and international musicians. He runs several projects of an international nature with musicians from all over the Nordics, France, Italy, etc. and has recorded several albums under his own name as leader/co-leader, where he usually also participates as a composer.
Swinging, contemporary and with high energy. An excellent opportunity to hear how well Nordic jazz is doing today!
