The jubilant band takes its roots in Sun Ra and Don Cherry and gives us groovy free jazz. This evening with sax legend Lars-Göran Ulander as a guest!
Since its inception in 1999, Nacka Forum has been one of the country’s most acclaimed jazz bands with Grammy nominations, top positions on annual best lists and extensive touring around the world. They have also worked with Joakim Pirinen and Martin Kann for their covers. Departing from the sixties visionaries Sun Ra and Don Cherry, Nacka Forum has more and more got its own musical language that can be described as Scandinavian, in a way.Nacka Forum consists of some of Sweden’s most creative musicians.
In the fall of 2024, they make a comeback with a brand new album that was recorded in December 2023 in the legendary Atlantis studio, and some of the songs feature one of our greatest saxophone legends, Lars-Göran Ulander, who will also be part of the concert!
