Adam Forkelid – SOLO
For the first time in many years, pianist Adam Forkelid will perform a solo concert. It will be a unique opportunity to hear him up close, as the magnificent Fazioli grand piano fills Krematoriet’s old chapel with its beautiful sound. Adam Forkelid has been a leading figure on the Scandinavian jazz scene for nearly two decades, notably through bands such as the recently album-released and critically acclaimed quartet 1st Movement, the playful trio Lekverk, the neo-fusion ensemble Soundscape Orchestra, and the genre-crossing Svante Söderqvist Trio. Adam has also been a member of Norrbotten Big Band and toured with, among others, Pedro Martins, Magnus Öström, Peter Asplund, and Georg Riedel.
”Adam Forkelid is the perfect musical synthesis between Joe Zawinul regarding his solo career as a pianist and Wayne Shorter; like them, he possesses an immense musical culture and stands as a visionary.”
