Anna Maria Anderson has a particularly eclectic vocal style transcending different genres from traditional jazz, blues, blues-swing, to funk and soul. Her voice resonates power, intensity, emotion and depth all at once and in a manner that energizes and engages her audience. She has earlier worked with renowned and established musicians on the Swedish jazz scene like Leo Lindberg, Ove Gustavsson, Jojo Djeridi, Stefan Gustavsson, Bengt Stark, Johan Tengholm, Andreas Hellkvist, Per Norlén, Hasse Larsson, Hans von Eichwald. Anderson has performed in various constellations like Playing-4-Change, Anna Maria Anderson Band and Stockholm Sweetin´Quartet and AM Anderson Quartet. In the funk and groove tradition Anna Maria has worked with world renowned musicians like James Bradley Jr, Karim Nouira, Chuck Anthony, Rickard Malmsten, Omar Joof.
The seasoned and respected pianist Stefan Gustafson has performed with celebrated musicians and artists like Johnny Olsson Big Band, Rolf Ericson, Alice Babs, Nisse Sandström and has been pianist in the Bernt Rosengren Quartet for 20 years.
Rickard Malmsten has lived and worked as a musician and composer in 5 continents, including Europe, North America, Australia, South America and Asia, where he has been active for 12 years in Hongkong between 2001-2013. During the years, Rickard has performed with a distinguished array of musicians like Randy Brecker, Seamus Blake, Larry Coryell, Pee Wee Ellis, Roy Hargrove, David Kikoski, Sinne Eeg, Dennis Chambers and Swedish stars like Magnus Lindgren, Roger Pontare, Patrik Isaksson, Rigmor Gustafsson, Ulf Wakenius, Anders Bergcrantz, Peter Asplund och Nils Landgren. Rickard is the founder of the Baltic-Scandinavian Jazz Festival Vösu Jazz.
Jojo has been a professional jazz drummer since 1985. His playing style is comprised by a powerful swing, polyrhythmic escapades and a great dynamic span. He can make the drums whisper and he can make them shout. During his career he has played with most Swedish jazz musicians. Early collaborations include saxophone players Nisse Sandström and Krister Andersson. For some 10 years he played with Maffy Falay and Bernt Rosengren at jazz club Lilla Maria in Stockholm. Later he has played with Arko Big Band with Maria Schneider as the leader. Jojo recorded his debutalbum Alis Kitchen in 2020 with famed musicians Palle Danielsson, Krister Andersson and Lars Jansson. He attended the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, and has also studied at the New School in New York.
