Jenna Nyman, a Gothenburg-based jazz singer and composer, has captivated Gothenburg with her voice and music over the past year. With a large range in voice and playful scat solos, compositions where Scandinavian and American tradition meet are presented with lyrics in both English and Swedish. With boldness and honesty but also with humility and joy, Jenna Nyman is a strong new addition to the vocal jazz scene of Sweden.
Jenna Nyman Quartet has been playing together for almost three years, attaches great importance to playfulness and this reflects back on the audience. With strong interaction and friendship, the Quartet has been playing together for a long time and will record Jenna Nyman’s upcoming debut album in the late summer of 2024. With playfulness as the common denominator, it’s always just as captivating to go and listen to Jenna Nyman Quartet.
