Elvira Lundstedt – Sound Of Duke

Sound of Duke plays Duke Ellington!

Sound of Duke is a band from Sweden that plays music from legendary jazz musician and composer Duke Ellington’s extensive repertoire. With inspiration from traditional jazz, we perform the songs in our own interpretation with new fresh arrangements, where you will feel the band’s joy and love for the music between each other. Swing, joy of playing and a festive atmosphere are promised when Sound of Duke plays!

As winner of the Blue House youth jazz festival, SM best jazz group 2023, the band and the charismatic singer Elvira Lundstedt have in just one year established themselves on well-known stages around Sweden and visited jazz stages and clubs such as the Bangen jazz & blues festival, Ystad-, Umeå-, Öland-, Aarhus and CPH jazz festival and Stampen in Stockholm. In 2024 they released their debut album and they have been on a summer tour in Sweden, Danmark and Germany to celebrate Duke Ellington’s 125 anniversary.

Elvira Lundstedt is a new upcoming jazz singer on the Swedish jazz scene. Her unique stage presence and charisma are combined with wonderful turns and touching improvisation. Elvira’s confident and passionate voice captivates and impresses!
