Mats Bergström and Ilaria Capalbo remembers Georg Riedel and looks forward. "Paradiset Chamber music & Bar" is a new concept where you, the listener, sits on the stage together with the musicians in a relaxed enviroment.
What once made Ilaria Capalbo (born in Naples, living in Stockholm) wanting to play bas was a record with Pat Metheny and Charlie Haden. Since then, the guitar also has a special place in her heart, she says. The guitarist Mats Bergström (born in Gävle, living in Uppsala) collaborated for many years with the composer and double bassist Georg Riedel, and the outcome, among other things, was five full-length albums on the theme ”Songs without words”. Together, Mats and Ilaria are now cherishing the memory of Georg by playing a bunch of his compositions for guitar and double bass. But they also look ahead by exploring the possibilities of instrument combinations in self-composed music.
