Nacka Big Band/Big Band Bash

Nacka Big Band is one of Stockholm’s busy big bands. The current line-up has been playing together since 2015 and consists of music teachers and experienced part-time musicians. The line-up is of the usual model with full sax, trumpet and trombone sections plus a solid rhythm section. In addition, the orchestra has a talented singer in Anki Modin-Strömgren and the equally talented singer Leif Olsen. The repertoire is of a classic, easy-listening big band style with many swinging elements of greats such as Glenn Miller, Count Basie, Ella Fitzgerald and not least Frank Sinatra. Artists such as Michael Bublé and Tom Jones have contributed to the slightly more modern part of the repertoire.
