Irma Neumüller & Seth Sjöström
Album release by a duo combining jazz and Swedish folk music in an intimate and unique style.
Irma Neumüller & Seth Sjöström are two jazz musicians and composers based in Berlin. They studied together at Skurups Folkhögskola and quickly connected through their shared love for jazz and improvisation. In their joint project, they perform jazz standards, original compositions, and their favorite songs from the Swedish pop and folk music treasure trove as a duo.
Their music is built on elements from the jazz tradition, the contemporary Nordic jazz scene, and Nordic folk music. The result is a unique and intimate soundscape that casts new light on both the compositions and themselves as artists.
In recent years, Irma and Seth have performed in various constellations across Sweden and the rest of Northern Europe, and both have made a name for themselves on the Nordic jazz scene.
The duo’s debut album will be released in the fall of 2025.
