Dekula Band
Stockholm-based soukous musicians.
Dekula and his band are based in Stockholm and play soukous music, which is extremely popular above all in eastern and central Africa, but is also strongly influenced by e.g. african rumba, salsa, makossa, zouk, reggae, jazz and blues. The music is insanely swinging and is often based on Maestro Dekula’s guitar playing, which is then built up with the genre’s typical rhythms and vocals.
