Anders ”Chico” Lindvall Kvartett
Renowned Malmö based guitarist, Anders "Chico" Lindvall, visits Stockholm Jazz Festival with his new explosive quartet featuring rising star, Kasper Sundby on saxophone.
Anders ”Chico” Lindvall is a Swedish jazz guitarist who has played with Tolvan Big Band, DR Big Band, in the Cabaret Orchestra with Swedish singer/songwriter legend Mikael Wiehe etc. He has appeared on a large number of studio albums and toured the world with international jazz greats such as; Michael Brecker, Dave Liebman, Toots Thielemans, Ivan Lins, David Sanborn, Van Morrison and Sweden’s own Tommy Körberg.
In 2009, Chico became the tenth recipient of the Fjellis Prize. In 2018, he was awarded Jazz in Malmö’s Golden Needle Award for: ”…sensuous taste, technical brilliance and uncompromising attitude.”. In connection with the award ceremony, Chico also released his much-anticipated first solo album. 2022 saw the sequel, ”Basement Incident” (Duck Your Music). Both albums have been praised in the press.
This evening, original songs as well as standards are presented, with the same energy that has always been Chico’s signature, welcome!
