Andreaz Hedén, David Åhlén, Trio Ramberget

Improvisation and contemplation by three uncompromising acts.

Andreaz Hedén
Andreaz Hedén is a Swedish pianist and composer. From an early age he was shaped by the jazz tradition represented by pianists like Bill Evans, Keith Jarrett and Bobo Stenson. Since then he has constantly explored new musical horizons including freeform improvisation, modern classical music, church music, ambient and indie-pop. He has been involved as musician and arranger in numerous constellations and recordings with artists from different traditions. This spring he is engaged in collaborations with Josefin Runsteen (Runsteen Alien Tounges), Isabella Lundgren among others. Andreaz has released several solo albums over the years and during 2024 he will release another 2 solo piano albums; Diptyk I & II (Compunctio).

David Åhlén
David Åhlén, Stockholm-based artist, producer and curator, performs songs and improvisations with a contemplative tone and a sacred touch. David most recently released the LP Watch and pray in 2023 and is current with the EP Untitled to be released in April 2024.
“If there is a voice in the world that marries new classical and pop music more beautifully than David Åhlén’s, we’ve yet to hear it. There is a religiosity inherent in his work that’s not for everyone. But Åhlén’s not out to convert you. This is new music in the tradition of Arvo Pärt – gently inviting, on whichever level you choose.« the Moderns (CAN)

Trio Ramberget

Trio Ramberget was formed in the early spring of 2016. Since then, Trio Ramberget has released four albums, two EPs, several singles, and their music has been featured in short films, documentaries, and dance performances both internationally and in Sweden.
Their full-length debut Slåttermyren (2018) took this trio one step further toward their ambient and drone-like sound, while keeping their completely freely improvised material, which remains the trio’s musical signature. The follow-up Musik att somna till (Music to Fall Asleep to) can be described as their breakthrough, and the album received raving reviews in Sweden and abroad. The creditable indie blog ”A Closer Listen” listed Musik att somna till on
its Top 20 list of the year’s best records, and music from the album has been played on stations such as KEXP in Seattle, USA, and Concertzender in the Netherlands. Trio Ramberget’s music has been compared to ambient and minimalist composers like Brian Eno, Max Richter, and LaMonte Young and is often praised for its innovation and use of acoustic instruments in the otherwise often electronic-based ambient genre.
