Dixieland, swing and blues.
MOVITZ HOT FIVE – the name is related to Källaren Movitz in the Old Town and MOVITZ of course refers to the Bellman figure (Movitz blew a concert …) and down here in the basement the orchestra continues his tradition – but now with finely tuned jazz (Dixieland, swing and blues). The orchestra consists of scarred musicians with roots in 50s school band jazz. Role models are the style-forming American jazz musicians of the 1920s. Genuine New Orleans jazz is promised.
