Micaelas Bästa Barnjazzlåtar
Sing and dance to awardwinning Micaela Gustafssons best hot jazz for children.
Come and enjoy children’s songs written with a focus on the 1930s New Orleans jazz tradition. The songs are about flying carpets, lions, doing the opposite and wanting a pet hamster. You can join in and dance, sing and improvise. For example, dance the Charleston, imitate thunderstorms and various ghost sounds.
Micaela Gustafsson is a multiple award-winning artist and songwriter in the children’s music genre. She has performed for thousands of children over the years and has many creative and playful musical acts in her repertoire. Micaela has also released a whole series of children’s albums and is behind SR Barnradion’s popular Bebispodden.
During the TegelJazz project, Micaela has specially written jazz songs for children for three different concerts that have previously been performed on the Tegelscenen and during the Efterhäng concert series. For this concert, she has selected her favorite songs from all three concerts.
The Tegelscenen jazz orchestra was created in the aftermath of the gender equality project TegelJazz that ran from 2017 to 2021 at Tegelscenen with support from the Swedish Music Agency, the Swedish Arts Council and the City of Stockholm. TegelJazz has since branched out into various jazz camps, brass study bands and in Micaela’s performance Badjazz. And as here in the project Grannskapsjazz at Tegelscenen
