Ingrid Schyborger Trio

Ingrid Schyborger, a rising star on the European jazz scene, is a well-established double bassist and composer based in Stockholm, Sweden. After living in New York for three years, she has now moved back home. Since then, she has released a debut album, been nominated for the Manifest Prize 2024, has been running her own projects and playing as a bassist in a variety of groups such as Post-Sun-vision and Loke Risberg trio, and has recorded an album with drummer Bill Stewart. To Haymarket, she brings her trio consisting of the New York-based piano virtuoso Tommaso Perazzo, an award-winning pianist from Italy who has played with several giants such as Buster Williams and Steve Wilson, and is also a winner of the Keep An Eye International Jazz Award. She also brings with her the skilled drummer Jonas Bäckman, well-established on the Swedish – as well as the European – jazz scene and plays frequently with Britta Virves Trio, Viktor Nyberg, Håkan Broström and Jon Henriksson. Together, Ingrid Schyborger Trio creates an atmosphere of high energy and intensity, brilliant interplay, exciting time signatures, pulsating rhythms and masterful improvisations.
