CHERISE is one of the most exciting soul voices to emerge from the UK. With silky vocals, undeniable presence, and a style that cuts straight through. She blends the sensual with the assured, the vulnerable with the powerful. She’s been awarded Jazz FM Vocalist of the Year and spotlighted by BBC Introducing as one of the country’s most compelling new artists.

Following collaborations with Steam Down, Nubiyan Twist, Omar and Gregory Porter, she released her debut album Calling (2023) – a raw and emotionally charged record exploring love, family, and identity, including a tribute to her heritage as the grandchild of the Windrush generation. The follow-up Butter (2024) reveals a more experimental and laid-back side where soul meets ‘90s nostalgia, creative freedom and a touch of DIY spirit. She describes the sound herself as “Wonky Soul.”
